Phobia of the Week #25

Dendrophobia: People with this phobia have the fear of trees.

Well, as far as I know I’ve never heard of a tree attack. I have to admit, though… I would be incredibly frightened if a tree just up and ran after me. But I don’t think it would ever happen. I’ve heard they’re very rooted in their ways.

I guess people with this phobia can’t watch “Lord of the Rings” when the trees uproot and walk – and fight.

A tree fell in my neck of the words on a car driven by an 84 year old man. He was unhurt. But that would be scary.

  That would be SO scary! When they’re movin’, then I’m scared of ‘em. Otherwise, they seem pretty harmless. I’m glad he turned out okay!

The Wizard of Oz must have been a tough one too. I like trees but I walked up against an uprooted Douglas Fir in a Vancouver park once and it really scared me it looked so creepy.
