…One day, my parents and I decided to go ATV riding near our home. It was a trail I hadn’t taken before, so I rode with my dad on the back of his ATV. It was a pleasant drive, and I was enjoying the beautiful day.
We’d been riding for at least an hour when we crested a hill and came into a small valley. My dad slowed, and I looked around him to find out why. I gasped and shrank back at what I saw.

I read your devotional a shepperds recue. Thanks a lot it touched my heart and made me understand the time i spended in the valley, i was never alone. He indeed is the good shepperd, he won’t leave us and forget us to die on the valley of death, he stays with us, walk through it with us. When i was in the valley i just wanted to get out of there, but now on retrospective, i know that if i hadn’t been on the valley i wouldn’t have known Jesus for sure. I wouldn’t have seen his faithfullness. Sometimes the fear overcomes me, but it is good to remind myself how He is always with me and that comforts me.
Hi, Allie!
Thank you so much for reading and for leaving this kind comment!
I know exactly what you mean when you say that sometimes the fear overcomes you. That’s why I created this blog! There have been many times where I felt the fear would overcome me. But like you, that’s where I found out how faithful God is and felt His presence. I take great comfort in knowing that God is always with me. His very name-Emmanuel-means “God with us.”
One of my favorite verses says, “Do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you.
I have called you by name; you are mine.
2 When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.” (Isaiah 43:1-2.)
I pray you will experience God’s love, peace, and joy today, and that you will be encouraged.
Thanks again so much for stopping by, and I hope you’ll stop by again soon!
